School Placement

A lovely two weeks working with special educational needs students in creating light boxes inspired by stained glass artist Harry Clarke. This unit of learning involved a gallery visit to the National Gallery of Ireland to compound learning. This trip was invaluable as it engaged students in the process of the scheme and theme and also helped in scaffolding the learning by seeing the artist stained glass and book illustrations. We celebrated this work with an exhibition where all students invited family and friends.
